Research proves how effective the Alexander Technique can be
Results of the ATEAM clinical trial confirm the long-term benefits that Alexander Technique teachers have always claimed. The research, supported by the Medical Research Council and published by the British Medical Journal (website 19 August 2008 - http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/abstract/337/aug19_2/a884), concluded that one-to-one lessons in the Alexander Technique from STAT registered teachers have long term benefits for patients with chronic back pain.
